Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security feature that helps protect your Clustdoc account beyond just your password. When 2FA is enabled, you’ll be asked to enter a one-time code each time you log in from an unrecognized device.
What you’ll need
Before getting started, install an authenticator app on your smartphone. Any TOTP-compatible app works, including:
Google Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator
Authy
Setting up two-factor authentication
Follow these steps to activate 2FA on your account:
Go to your account avatar (top right) > Profile > Security.
Click the Activate button. A QR code and a manual setup key will be displayed.
Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code. If you can’t scan it, enter the manual setup key shown on screen.
Your authenticator app will generate a 6-digit one-time code.
Enter that code in Clustdoc to confirm and activate 2FA.
Save your backup code
After activation, you’ll be shown a backup code. Copy it and store it somewhere safe — you can use it to log in if you ever lose access to your authenticator app.
Logging in with 2FA enabled
Once 2FA is active, each time you log in from an unrecognized device you’ll be prompted to open your authenticator app and enter the current one-time code displayed there.
