How to collect custom information during your client onboarding

As part of the application process, you may require some critical information to be shared by recipients along with their first, last name, and email address. You can collect this information using the custom info field.

When to use this feature

You can use this feature to collect information such as a log, reference, case number. You can also use it to allow recipients to pick from a list of services, customer service agents, and much more.

Creating a custom info field

  1. Go to Process>Configuration>General

  2. Scroll down and tick 'Collect custom information'

  3. This will allow you to collect additional information through a text box or as a dropdown

  4. Name your custom info field

The custom info field is displayed on the New application page once you click on New Application

Filling out the custom field as an end-user

Your custom info field will show on your application portal (How to create a portal?) as is:

Creating a custom info field dropdown

If you need recipients to select an option for a predefined list of answers, you can also display a list of available options.

    1. Go to Process>Configuration>General

    2. Scroll down and tick 'Collect custom information'

    3. Add a label for your dropdown

    4. List available options to pick from

Here is how it will look like on the portal.

The information entered or selected from the portal will show on your list of Applications as well as in the More options tab of each application.
