Using merge fields in e-contracts
You can use already available information to populate automatically your e-contracts fields.
This information could be of various types:
- Contact details
- Forms data
- Date format
- Line items of your checklist
- Owner details
- Application details
When creating your e-contracts, pick the merge fields option to do so.
Available merge fields per category
|Merge field type||Examples of merge fields|
|Contact||Full name, first name, last name, email, company, custom field|
|Application||ID, custom stage, name, date of creation, creation date & hour (timestamp)|
|Items (steps)||All items, missing, mandatory, missing+mandatory ones|
|Application Owner (team member)||First name, last name, email, full name|
|Date||Today's date, date + time, current year, Y-1, Y+1|
|Form field||Any field from your forms|
Adding merge fields to your e-contracts
- Go to your e-contract
- Drap and drop the 'Merged field tag' element to the page
- Select the type of merge field you need
- Adjust the positioning of the element
As you can see in the example below, we're adding as a merge field an answer captured in one of our forms available in the process called 'New client intake process'.
