How to assign roles and permissions to your team

Updated this week

💡 Important Note: Depending on your base plan, you may already have a certain number of user seats available. When you add extra users, their seats are automatically charged to your account.

Here is a breakdown of available roles and permissions for business users (people who need access to the admin interface, who are essentially people from your team). This applies to a group of users for each account you hold.

Selecting default users roles and permissions

Learning more about each role

Role

Description

Team owner

(The person who creates the account) manages and sees everything, billing, and payment included.

💡The application owner is any team member who creates an application or who is responsible for managing an application (as defined in a portal). The team owner is the highest role available in Clustdoc.

Admin

manages and sees everything except payment and billing.

Manager

manages Processes and applications and doesn't have access to the Team settings.

Developer

manages Processes, users, API and Webhooks and doesn't have access to the applications, Processes, or Team settings.

Super-Agent

can only send and receive applications. No access to the Resources tab. A super-agent also can see the team's activity and process teammates' applications. (Like an Admin or Manager).

Agent

can only send and receive applications. No access to the Resources tab. An agent also cannot see the team's activity nor take action on teammates' applications.

External member

Submit information on behalf of another stakeholder. Don’t own the application themselves, but can upload documents, fill in forms, and help move the process forward for someone else.

Advanced customization for users roles & permissions (à la carte)

You can create custom roles and permissions based on your needs.

Applying existing user permissions to new users

You can copy permissions and roles from existing users when inviting new users to your account so they’ll have the same abilities.

  1. Add the name and email address of the new user

  2. In the 'assigned role' field, select "Same as existing user".

  3. Select the user you want to assign the same rights to the new user.
