Clustdoc is really a place where people interact, collaborate and work together. When reading about Clustdoc, you'll discover various terms to talk about these 'people'.

1. Business users : your team, colleagues or partners

A business user is someone who is on the business side of the organization. They use Clustdoc as part of their job and would require to have a paid seat to do so, this includes regular users & external members. This is a clear example of what a business user could be:

Responsibilities

Account owner - your Manager

The person who registered for a free Clustdoc account trial and is in charge of managing the account, billing, invoices etc

Admin - yourself

The person in charge of setting up users, processes, forms and more

Manager - one of your colleague

Another person in charge of setting up users, processes, forms and more

External member #1 - a salesperson

A teammate from another department, in charge of initiating the requests.

External member #2 - a partner

A person outside your organization in charge of submitting applications on behalf of actual clients or contacts.

Based on your plan, you can add more seats to your account on a per-user basis or increase the number of available seats available in your initial plan.

A quick note about External members

An external member is a person who needs to submit applications on behalf of a group of stakeholders.

It's the middle person either working outside or inside your company who is going to be in charge of submitting the information on behalf of the actual recipients.

Because external members are key points of contact in charge of kicking off your processes, they are considered as business-users submitting applications as part of their jobs, therefore, they need a paid seat.

2. End-users: your target audience

An end-user is the person who needs to go through your onboarding steps for your organization to do business with them. They would not need to have access to any sort of dashboard unlike business users.

We also call them stakeholders in the context of your process, since you could have a primary contact and secondary stakeholders involved in completing your process.

Depending on your industry, your department, or your workflow, this person could be a client, a landlord, a company owner, an investor, a merchant, a student and more.
