Using merge fields in e-contracts

You can use already available information to populate automatically your e-contracts fields.

This information could be of various types:

  1. Contact details

  2. Forms data

  3. Date format

  4. Line items of your checklist

  5. Owner details

  6. Application details

When creating your e-contracts, pick the merge fields option to do so.

Available merge fields per category

Merge field type

Examples of merge fields

Contact

Full name, first name, last name, email, company, custom field

Application

ID, custom stage, name, date of creation, creation date & hour (timestamp)

Items (steps)

All items, missing, mandatory, missing+mandatory ones

Application Owner (team member)

First name, last name, email, full name

Date

Today's date, date + time, current year, Y-1, Y+1

Form field

Any field from your forms

Adding merge fields to your e-contracts

  1. Go to your e-contract

  2. Drap and drop the 'Merged field tag' element to the page

  3. Select the type of merge field you need

  4. Adjust the positioning of the element

As you can see in the example below, we're adding as a merge field an answer captured in one of our forms available in the process called 'New client intake process'.
