Getting an approval on shared files
Updated over 2 months ago

You want (A) to share files with your end-users and (B) to get their approvals on these files.

Step 1. Use our "Files to be viewed" Step

There is a new step available with your Clustdoc onboarding checklist allowing you to specifically share files with someone and therefore collect an approval.

  • From your onboarding checklist (whether from a process or live application), click on the 'Add New steps' button, then on 'File to be viewed'

  • Add a title to describe this step, add instructions for the approval for example, and upload your actual files

  • Setup this step (mandatory? Y/N, Auto-approve Y/N) and confirm

  • You're all set!

💡 Click on the button "View as end-user" at the top of the page to see how it will work for your clients or contacts.

Step 2. Discover the end-user experience

  • Your end contacts will simply click from their interface (like they'd usually do) to complete the step of viewing/approving a file.

  • If they want to, they can preview and/or even download and save the document on their device.

  • Then, once they're done they can simply go back to your checklist to hit the button and share approval.

💡Don't hesitate to give clear instructions to your clients and contacts regarding what would the button mean in your specific scenario. Here are a few examples:

  1. Click on the button below to confirm that you have read the document

  2. Click on the button below to approve the content of the document

  3. Click on the button below to allow us to launch the production
