One of the greatest automation we have with Clustdoc is the ability to assign a stakeholder when a specific event occurs on an application.

This feature is one of a kind, specifically created for you to be on top of your work while managing incoming requests or applications.

What's the auto-assign automation

This feature allows you to automatically assign a stakeholder when something happens on your application. In order to kick off this automation you'll need to set it up in your process.

Example for the Pros -> assigning a stakeholder when their info is captured in a form

Let's say that you want to assign someone a stakeholder once their information is shared with you by your main contact-automatically. This can be done with several automations.

1. Create your form and add fields regarding the stakeholder. We need a First name, Last name and email fields at least.

2. Automation #1: Go to the Automation tab to create the auto-assign automation (In our case, assign stakeholder when form is completed). Your automation should look like this before you save it. You'll also need to map out the action fields with your form fields using merge fields (see here).

3. Automation #2: Then you can go on and add another action to notify the recently created stakeholder and let them know that they'd need to join the secure interface to submit information.

In order for this automation to work properly. Make sure you've assigned checklist items to your secondary stakeholder accordingly. (Read step 2 of the article)
