Automatically extract information from a document

Clustdoc allows you to automatically extract specific information from a document (e.g., ID card, bank details, etc.).

The output data is then accessible from the related step side panel, providing quick insight into the actual submitted document.

How does the extraction work ?

Step 1: Define which key information to extract

To enable automatic extraction:

  1. Open your process.

  2. Click the step containing the relevant document.

  3. Go to the AI Prevalidation tab.

  4. Check Enable AI validation for this item.

  5. Then check Extract data from this document.

  6. In the Fields to extract section, click Add field.

  7. Enter the name of the information you want to extract.

  8. Select the expected data type:

    • Text

    • Date

    • Number

  9. Repeat the process for each field you want to extract.

  10. Click Confirm to save your configuration.

Examples of fields you can add:

  • Name

  • Date of birth

  • Registration date

  • Share capital

  • Amount

  • Expiration date

Step 2: View the extracted information in the application

Once the document is submitted as part of an application :

  1. Open the application

  2. Click on the relevant step

  3. In the side panel, click the Extracted information tab

You will find:

  • The automatically extracted information

  • Missing fields highlighted visually

  • The confidence score associated with each extracted field

💡 Note : The data will be updated automatically if the document is replaced.
