How can you use merge fields in e-contracts
You can use already available information to populate automatically your e-contracts fields.
This information could be of various types:
- Contact details
- Forms data
- Date format
- Line items of your checklist
- Owner details
- Application details
When creating your e-contracts, pick the merge fields option to do so.
Available merge fields per category
Contact: Full name, first name, last name, email, company, custom field
Application: ID, custom stage, name, date of creation, creation date & hour (timestamp)
Line items: All items, missing, mandatory, missing+mandatory ones
Application Owner (Team member): First name, last name, email, full name
Date: Today's date, date + time, current year, Y-1, Y+1
Form field: any field from your forms
Adding merge fields to your e-contracts
- Go to your e-contract
- Drap and drop the 'Insert Merge field' element to the page
- Select the type of merge field you need
- Adjust the positioning of the element
- ✅ You're done!
In the example below, we're prepopulating the Passport N° into our employment contract. The Passport N° was already asked earlier in a form added at the beginning of the same process.
