The secure messaging system allows you to communicate easily with recipients. Using this feature, you can send external messages to the stakeholders regarding the ongoing process.

💡 A message is always attached to an online application.
Sending a message to a client or contact (External communication)
Go to a client application page
In the Sidebar, click on Message Inbox then click on the New message button
💡 The first field is your distribution list. All people listed there will receive a notification and may be able to view the message.
On the admin side, messages are visible to all employees with access to the file (depending on their permissions.)
Sending a message related to a specific step
You can also send a message directly from a checklist step. This helps keep the conversation contextual and attached to the relevant item in the process.
To do it :
Select an application
Click on the relevant item
Select the "message" tab in the lateral pop up that is diplayed
Sending a message to another user (Internal communication)
To communicate internally with a colleague (also using Clustdoc), you can use the Notes feature.
It allows you to leave notes on the file and mention colleagues directly from a dedicated section.
Editing or deleting a sent message
To update or delete any of your messages, mouse over your message, and click on one of the icons below the specific message you’ve sent.
Reply to a message
You can reply to a received message by simply clicking the "Reply" button located below the message.
Disabling the Secure Inbox (no messaging allowed)
If you do not wish to allow communications as part of your workflows. You can also disable the messaging feature altogether.
Go to your process
Click on "Configuration> General" in the sidebar menu
Then scroll to the section called "Setup the contact section"
Untick the 'Contact us' option to remove the messaging tab from end-users interface
