Allow contacts to create new applications from their portal

In certain situations, you may want stakeholders to be able to start new applications directly from their customer portal (eg: subscription to several services, etc.).

In addition to the Client Portals feature, which allows stakeholders to start a first application, it is also possible for them to create additional applications directly from their online portal. In fact, each contact can be assigned a list of processses that they are authorized to start from their portal.

This article describes how to do this.

Option #1: Authorize stakeholders to create new applications from the contacts section

- Go to the ‘Contacts’ section and choose the right contact.

- Once you’re in the contact profile, click on ‘Configuration’, then ‘Authorized process’ : from there you’ll be able to select all the processes you want the contact to have access to from his portal.

On the end-user’s side, existing contacts will be able to easily start new applications and visualize all their submissions in real time. 👇

Option #2: Automate the creation of new applications from your onboarding portal

If you are using the 'Client portals' feature, you may want users to be able to create applications based on the processes of the portal to which they are registering or login. To do this, simply activate the option provided for this purpose in your portal configuration.

- Click on 'Resources', select 'Customer portals' and choose the portal you want to configure.

- Tick the 'Allow new folders' box to allow recipients to create several applications from their account, and view them at any time.

Therefore, this option will be automatically triggered when a new contact registers or logs in from your customer portal.

Let's see the end-user experience:
